4 the Culture, Inc. was founded in 2025 by Kevin Smith, Executive Director, and David Stansbury, CEO — both Co-Chairs of the renowned 34th & 35th Annual Kunta Kinte Heritage Festival in Annapolis, MD.

With a shared passion for celebrating and preserving African American culture, Kevin and David decided to step out on faith and create a new initiative focused on Black excellence. Their vision was simple: to empower their community through art, education, health & financial literacy, history, and healing. By founding 4 the Culture, Inc., they set out to create a safe, vibrant space in Annapolis and the surrounding areas, where culture isn’t just celebrated, but nurtured.

Through celebratory events, commemorative initiatives, and amplified awareness, 4 the Culture, Inc. continues to uplift the stories, the heritage, and the brilliance of African American culture — today and for generations to come.
